The General Staff is responding to the US Pentagon claim on the return of ISIS to Iraq and Syria

“ISIS gangs will not be able to return despite their terrorist operations here or there,” Deputy Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah said in a press briefing.

He added, “The ability of the security services to eliminate everything shown by the organization,” noting that “IS will continue to emerge, but not at the level that will affect Iraq.”

Yarallah pointed out that “efforts between all types of security services and the Popular Mobilization demonstration there, and the border is secure,” stressing that “ISIS will not be able to return, and able to eliminate all what appears from the organization.”
