The three presidencies with leaders of the Popular Mobilization

The President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad on Monday, in the presence of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbousi, Speaker of the Popular Mobilization Authority Faleh Fayad and a number of leaders of the Popular Mobilization.

During the meeting, they stressed the importance of the heroic role played by the various Popular Mobilization Forces, along with the rest of our armed forces formations, in the battles of liberation, defeat of Daesh and terrorism.

It was also stressed that the recent attacks on the PMF were partly attempts to draw the PMF and the national defense system into a preoccupation with the continuing important role of eliminating Daesh remnants and to eliminate terrorism and its dangers against Iraq, the countries of the region and the world. Iraq is targeting a strong and capable Iraq, and through the government and through all active channels and international and regional organizations, Iraq will take all measures to deter the aggressors and defend Iraq and its security and sovereignty on its territory.
