The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Thursday imposed a penalty on Barcelona over Atletico Madrid’s complaint that the Catalan club had negotiated with former Atletico player and former Barca player Antoine Griezmann.
According to the newspaper “Marca” Spanish, the Spanish Federation has fined (300 euros only) Barcelona after the complaint of Atletico.
The competition committee rejected the judge’s request to close the Camp Nou stadium and said Atletico Madrid could appeal against the decision within 10 working days of the decision.
The judge asked for the closure of the stadium because of the small fine imposed on Barcelona, compared to its economic potential.
The complaint is that Atletico believes that Barcelona negotiated with Griezmann before reducing the penalty clause from 200 million euros to 120 million euros, and therefore the Spanish capital club is entitled to receive another 80 million euros for the transfer of the French star to Camp Nou.
