Egyptian media sources reported that seven soldiers of the security forces were injured after two simultaneous bombings in Rafah and Bir al-Abd towns in northern Sinai.
Egyptian security and medical sources said that “the first explosion occurred in Rafah during an armored sweep of the area west of the city, where gunmen detonated an explosive device remotely, wounding recruits with shrapnel.”
The sources added that “another explosion targeted a security armored vehicle was combing one of the areas in the city of Bir al-Abed.”
The blast wounded five soldiers, who were transferred to the military hospital in El-Arish, including critical cases.
