Officials in the Iraqi capital have ordered to lift curfew previously imposed in Baghdad, security sources confirmed.
Commander of the Joint Operation Command in Baghdad, Major General Qais al-Mohammadawi announced the decision late on Tuesday.
He said the lift of curfew came after the cooperation between security forces and the protestors.
Despite the decision, protesters continued gatherings across Baghdad on Wednesday.
Thousands of protestors pushed again to enter the fortified Green Zone, where they were faced by security forces using tear gas to disperse the gatherings.
