Plasschaert arrives in Najaf to meet with Ayatollah Sayyed Ail Sistani

The representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, arrived at the airport in Najaf on Monday to meet with Ayatollah Sayyed Ali al-Sistani, the correspondent of Al-ghadeerTV reported.

The local sources said that “the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert will visit Najaf today to meet with the religious authority Ayatollah Ali Sistani.”

The sources added that “Plasschaert will discuss with Ayatollah Sistani the situation in Iraq, especially the demonstrations.”

The capital Baghdad and other provinces have been witnessing for some time demonstrations demanding better services and job opportunities as well as demanding reform, escalated and exploited by Mendson, which resulted in casualties among the demonstrators and security forces as well.
